yoginām api sarveṣāṁ mad-gatenāntar-ātmanā śraddhāvān bhajate yo māṁ sa me yuktatamo mataḥ

Word-by-Word Meanings

yoginām-of all yogis
sarveṣām-of all
mat-gatena-absorbed in Me
antar-ātmanā-with inner self
śraddhāvān-with faith
bhajate-worships
mām-Me
yukta-tamaḥ-the most united/greatest yogi

Translation

Of all yogis, one who worships Me with faith, with the inner self absorbed in Me - that one I consider the most intimately united with Me and the highest of all.

Commentary

The chapter's climactic verse declares the bhakti-yogi supreme among all yogis. The yuktatama (most united) is not the greatest ascetic or meditator but the one whose inner self (antar-ātmā) is absorbed in Krishna with śraddhā (faith). This verse bridges dhyāna yoga to bhakti yoga, preparing for Chapter 7's revelation of divine nature.
