पार्थ नैवेह नामुत्र विनाशस्तस्य विद्यते। न हि कल्याणकृत्कश्चिद्दुर्गतिं तात गच्छति॥

pārtha naiveha nāmutra vināśas tasya vidyate na hi kalyāṇa-kṛt kaścid durgatiṁ tāta gacchati

Translation
O Partha, there is no destruction for such a person either in this world or the next. No one who does good, My dear friend, ever comes to an evil end.
Commentary
Krishna's reassurance is absolute and unconditional: no spiritual effort is ever wasted. The affectionate address 'tāta' (dear one) shows Krishna's compassion. This is one of the Gita's most consoling verses - the universe preserves every sincere spiritual endeavor across lifetimes.
