Commentary

The fruit of meditation is declared: nirvāṇa-paramā śānti - the supreme peace of liberation. Crucially, this nirvana is mat-saṁsthā, situated in Krishna. This distinguishes the Gita's liberation from Buddhist nirvana by grounding it in a personal divine relationship.
