येषां त्वन्तगतं पापं जनानां पुण्यकर्मणाम् | ते द्वन्द्वमोहनिर्मुक्ता भजन्ते मां दृढव्रताः ||२८||

Transliteration (IAST)

yeṣāṁ tvantagataṁ pāpaṁ janānāṁ puṇyakarmaṇām | te dvandvamohanirmuktā bhajante māṁ dṛḍhavratāḥ ||28||

Translation

But those persons of virtuous deeds whose sins have come to an end, freed from the delusion of pairs of opposites, worship Me with firm resolve.

Commentary

This verse describes the prerequisites for genuine devotion: exhaustion of negative karma through righteous action, and freedom from the pull of opposites. The phrase 'dridha-vratah' (firm resolve) indicates that true worship requires sustained commitment, not mere occasional practice.
