योगी युञ्जीत सततमात्मानं रहसि स्थितः। एकाकी यतचित्तात्मा निराशीरपरिग्रहः॥

Commentary
Here begins Krishna's practical meditation instructions. The prerequisites are solitude (rahasi), self-control (yata-citta), desirelessness (nirāśīḥ), and non-possessiveness (aparigrahaḥ). These external conditions support the internal practice described in the following verses.
