यदा ते मोहकलिलं बुद्धिर्व्यतितरिष्यति। तदा गन्तासि निर्वेदं श्रोतव्यस्य श्रुतस्य च॥

Transliteration (IAST)

yadā te moha-kalilaṁ buddhir vyatitariṣyati tadā gantāsi nirvedaṁ śrotavyasya śrutasya ca

Word-by-Word Meanings

moha-kalilam-mire of delusion
buddhiḥ-intellect
vyatitariṣyati-will cross beyond
nirvedam-indifference/dispassion
śrotavyasya-to what is yet to be heard

Translation

When your intellect crosses beyond the mire of delusion, then you will attain indifference to what has been heard and what is yet to be heard.

Commentary

Krishna describes a stage of spiritual development where the seeker transcends dependence on scriptural knowledge. Once direct realization dawns, the intellect moves beyond the confusion created by conflicting teachings and opinions. This is not anti-intellectual but trans-intellectual.
