श्रुतिविप्रतिपन्ना ते यदा स्थास्यति निश्चला। समाधावचला बुद्धिस्तदा योगमवाप्स्यसि॥

Translation
When your intellect, which is now confused by various scriptural interpretations, becomes steady and immovable in meditation, then you will attain yoga.
Commentary
The goal is a mind that is no longer tossed about by conflicting interpretations but rests in direct experience. Samadhi (deep meditation) is the state where the intellect becomes perfectly still and unified. This verse sets up Arjuna's next question about the characteristics of such a person.
