इति गुह्यतमं शास्त्रमिदमुक्तं मयानघ | एतद्बुद्ध्वा बुद्धिमान्स्यात्कृतकृत्यश्च भारत ||२०||

iti guhyatamaṁ śāstram idam uktaṁ mayānagha | etad buddhvā buddhimān syāt kṛta-kṛtyaś ca bhārata ||20||

Translation
Thus this most secret teaching has been imparted by Me, O sinless one. Understanding this, one becomes truly wise and has fulfilled all duties, O Bharata.
Commentary
Shankaracharya notes that Krishna calls this the 'most secret' (guhyatama) teaching because it reveals the ultimate truth about the Supreme Person that transcends both the perishable and imperishable. The term 'kṛta-kṛtya' (one who has accomplished all that needs to be accomplished) indicates that knowledge of Purushottama is the final goal - nothing further remains to be achieved. Ramanuja sees this as Krishna's seal on the chapter: this teaching about His supreme nature is the essence of all scripture. Madhva emphasizes that this knowledge alone brings complete fulfillment.
