एवमेतद्यथात्थ त्वमात्मानं परमेश्वर | द्रष्टुमिच्छामि ते रूपमैश्वरं पुरुषोत्तम ||३||

evam etad yathāttha tvam ātmānaṁ parameśvara | draṣṭum icchāmi te rūpam aiśvaraṁ puruṣottama ||3||

Translation

O Supreme Lord, as You have described Yourself, O Supreme Person, I wish to see Your divine sovereign form.

Commentary

Arjuna's request marks the pivotal moment of the chapter. Having heard about Krishna's divine manifestations intellectually, he now desires direct perception. Madhva notes that this desire arises from mature devotion - only a qualified devotee can make such a request and receive the vision.
