Word-by-Word Meanings

vistareṇa-in detail

vibhūtim-glories
janārdana-O Krishna
bhūyaḥ-again
tṛptiḥ-satiation
amṛtam-nectar

Translation

O Janardana, tell me again in detail of Your mystic power and glories, for I am never satiated hearing Your nectarean words.

Commentary

Arjuna's insatiable desire to hear about Krishna's glories exemplifies the nature of true bhakti - it never reaches satiation. The metaphor of 'amṛtam' (nectar) for divine discourse is significant: unlike material pleasures that diminish with repetition, spiritual knowledge only deepens the thirst for more.
