अहं सर्वस्य प्रभवो मत्तः सर्वं प्रवर्तते | इति मत्वा भजन्ते मां बुधा भावसमन्विताः ||८||

Transliteration (IAST)

ahaṁ sarvasya prabhavo mattaḥ sarvaṁ pravartate | iti matvā bhajante māṁ budhā bhāva-samanvitāḥ ||8||

Translation

I am the source of all creation. Everything proceeds from Me. Knowing this, the wise worship Me with all their heart.

Commentary

This is one of the most important verses in the Gita, declaring Krishna as the ultimate source (prabhava) of all existence. The wise (budhāḥ) who truly understand this respond not with mere intellectual acknowledgment but with heartfelt devotion (bhāva-samanvitāḥ). Knowledge naturally flowers into bhakti.
