दुःखेष्वनुद्विग्नमनाः सुखेषु विगतस्पृहः। वीतरागभयक्रोधः स्थितधीर्मुनिरुच्यते॥

duḥkheṣv anudvigna-manāḥ sukheṣu vigata-spṛhaḥ vīta-rāga-bhaya-krodhaḥ sthita-dhīr munir ucyate

Translation

One whose mind is undisturbed by sorrow, who has no craving for pleasure, and who is free from passion, fear, and anger - such a sage is called one of steady wisdom.

Commentary

Three negative emotions are specifically mentioned: rāga (passion/attachment), bhaya (fear), and krodha (anger). The sthitaprajña is not emotionless but is free from the reactive patterns that these emotions create. Equanimity in both pleasure and pain is the hallmark of wisdom.
