śubha-aśubham-good and evil
na abhinandati-does not rejoice
na dveṣṭi-does not hate

Translation

One who is unattached everywhere, who neither rejoices on obtaining good nor is disturbed by evil - that person's wisdom is firmly established.

Commentary

The sthitaprajña maintains equanimity regardless of circumstances. This is not indifference or apathy but a deep stability that comes from being rooted in the Self rather than in external events. Neither good fortune nor misfortune can shake this inner equilibrium.
