न तद्भासयते सूर्यो न शशाङ्को न पावकः | यद्गत्वा न निवर्तन्ते तद्धाम परमं मम ||६||

na tad bhāsayate sūryo na śaśāṅko na pāvakaḥ | yad gatvā na nivartante tad dhāma paramaṁ mama ||6||

Translation
Neither the sun, nor the moon, nor fire illumines that supreme abode of Mine, reaching which one never returns.
Commentary
This verse echoes Katha Upanishad (2.2.15) and Mundaka Upanishad (2.2.10). Shankaracharya explains that the supreme abode is self-luminous consciousness that does not depend on any external source of light. Ramanuja identifies this as Vaikuntha, the eternal spiritual realm of Vishnu. Madhva emphasizes that this abode is the very nature of the Lord Himself - His svarūpa - which is beyond all material illumination.
