समं पश्यन्हि सर्वत्र समवस्थितमीश्वरम् | न हिनस्त्यात्मनात्मानं ततो याति परां गतिम् ||२९||

samaṁ paśyan hi sarvatra samavasthitam īśvaram | na hinasty ātmanātmānaṁ tato yāti parāṁ gatim ||29||

Translation
Seeing the Lord equally present everywhere, one does not destroy the Self by the self, and thus attains the supreme goal.
Commentary
When one perceives the Lord equally in all, one ceases to harm oneself through ignorance and selfish action. 'Not destroying the Self by the self' means not degrading one's spiritual nature through identification with the body. Shankaracharya interprets this as the cessation of self-inflicted bondage through ignorance. The result is attainment of the highest goal - liberation.
