Translation
One who sees the Supreme Lord dwelling equally in all beings, the imperishable within the perishable - that person truly sees.
Commentary
This is one of the most celebrated verses of the chapter. True vision consists in perceiving the one imperishable Lord equally present in all perishable forms. The repetition 'sa paśyati' (he truly sees) emphasizes that all other seeing is partial or illusory. Shankaracharya connects this to the vision of non-duality, while Ramanuja sees it as recognizing God's equal presence as the inner self of all.
