सञ्जय उवाच | एवमुक्त्वा ततो राजन्महायोगेश्वरो हरिः | दर्शयामास पार्थाय परमं रूपमैश्वरम् ||९||

sañjaya uvāca | evam uktvā tato rājan mahā-yogeśvaro hariḥ | darśayām āsa pārthāya paramaṁ rūpam aiśvaram ||9||

Translation

Sanjaya said: O King, having spoken thus, the great Lord of Yoga, Hari, then showed to Arjuna His supreme sovereign form.

Commentary

Sanjaya narrates to Dhritarashtra the moment of revelation. The title 'mahā-yogeśvara' emphasizes Krishna's absolute mastery over all yogic powers. Madhva notes that 'Hari' here signifies the one who removes all ignorance and bondage, making this theophany an act of supreme grace.
