Ananta (Shesha) is the infinite serpent upon whom Vishnu reclines, representing eternity itself. Varuna presides over the cosmic waters and moral order. Aryama governs the realm of ancestors. Yama as the lord of death and dharma represents the ultimate controller. Shankaracharya notes that Yama embodies impartial cosmic justice.
