कथं विद्यामहं योगिंस्त्वां सदा परिचिन्तयन् | केषु केषु च भावेषु चिन्त्योऽसि भगवन्मया ||१७||

kathaṁ vidyām ahaṁ yogiṁs tvāṁ sadā paricintayan | keṣu keṣu ca bhāveṣu cintyo 'si bhagavan mayā ||17||

Translation

O Supreme Mystic, how shall I know You, constantly meditating on You? In what various forms are You to be contemplated by me, O Lord?

Commentary

Arjuna asks the practical question that every devotee faces: how to maintain constant awareness of the Divine in daily life? His question 'keṣu keṣu ca bhāveṣu' (in which forms) directly prompts the vibhūti list - practical handles for meditation on the infinite.
