Word-by-Word Meanings

śubha-aśubha-auspicious and inauspicious
phalaiḥ-from results
mokṣyase-you shall be freed
karma-bandhanaiḥ-from bondage of action
sannyāsa-yoga-yoga of renunciation
yuktātmā-with united self
vimukataḥ-liberated

Translation

Thus you shall be freed from the bondage of actions yielding good and evil results. With your mind fixed in the yoga of renunciation, you shall be liberated and come to Me.

Commentary

This verse promises the fruit of offering all actions to God: freedom from karma-bandha (bondage of action). Both good and bad results bind the soul; only actions offered to the Divine transcend both. The 'sannyāsa-yoga' here is not external renunciation but internal dedication of all fruits to God.
