प्रयाणकाले मनसाचलेन भक्त्या युक्तो योगबलेन चैव | भ्रुवोर्मध्ये प्राणमावेश्य सम्यक् स तं परं पुरुषमुपैति दिव्यम् ||१०||

Transliteration (IAST)

prayāṇa-kāle manasācalena bhaktyā yukto yoga-balena caiva | bhruvor madhye prāṇam āveśya samyak sa taṁ paraṁ puruṣam upaiti divyam ||10||

Translation

At the time of death, with an unmoving mind, endowed with devotion and the power of yoga, fixing the life force between the eyebrows, one attains that Supreme Divine Person.

Commentary

This verse describes the yogic technique for conscious departure at death. The practitioner combines devotion (bhakti), yogic power (yoga-bala), and mental steadiness (acala manas) while directing prana to the ajna chakra. Shankaracharya notes this is the practical application of the principle stated in verse 8.5.
