The Self dwelling in the body of every being is eternally indestructible, O Bharata. Therefore, you should not grieve for any creature.

Commentary

This verse concludes the Sankhya section on the nature of the Self. Krishna summarizes: since the Self in every being is eternal and indestructible, grief for any being is unfounded. This applies universally - not just to Bhishma and Drona, but to all creatures.
