Translation
Wherever there is Krishna, the Lord of Yoga, and wherever there is Arjuna, the wielder of the bow, there will surely be prosperity, victory, glory, and firm righteousness - such is my conviction.
Commentary
The final verse of the Bhagavad Gita is Sanjaya's prophetic declaration. Shankaracharya explains that this verse summarizes the entire Gita: where divine wisdom (Krishna) meets human effort and devotion (Arjuna), all auspiciousness follows. Ramanuja interprets this as the eternal principle that the combination of God's grace and the devotee's surrender guarantees spiritual and material success. Madhva notes that 'dhruvā nītiḥ' (certain righteousness) assures that dharma will always triumph when aligned with the Divine.
