Commentary

Krishna declares the supreme status of one who shares the Gita's teaching. Shankaracharya explains that this is the highest praise possible - no service to God surpasses the dissemination of divine knowledge. Ramanuja notes that this verse establishes the teacher of the Gita as the most beloved of God, surpassing even those who perform great sacrifices or austerities.
