Translation
When a person contemplates sense objects, attachment to them arises. From attachment arises desire, and from desire arises anger.
Commentary
Krishna describes the psychological chain of destruction that begins with mere contemplation of sense objects. The sequence is precise: thinking about objects → attachment → desire → anger (when desire is frustrated). This is one of the most psychologically acute observations in ancient literature.
