मा ते व्यथा मा च विमूढभावो दृष्ट्वा रूपं घोरमीदृङ्ममेदम् | व्यपेतभीः प्रीतमनाः पुनस्त्वं तदेव मे रूपमिदं प्रपश्य ||४९||

Transliteration (IAST)

mā te vyathā mā ca vimūḍha-bhāvo dṛṣṭvā rūpaṁ ghoram īdṛṅ mamedam | vyapeta-bhīḥ prīta-manāḥ punas tvaṁ tad eva me rūpam idaṁ prapaśya ||49||

Translation

Do not be distressed or bewildered by seeing this terrible form of Mine. Free from fear and with a pleased mind, behold again this same form of Mine.

Commentary

Krishna compassionately reassures Arjuna, commanding him to release his fear. The phrase 'prīta-manāḥ' (with a pleased mind) indicates that the Lord wishes His devotee to experience joy, not terror. Madhva notes that this verse demonstrates the Lord's tender concern for His devotee's emotional well-being.
